    Personality Types

Train them in the way that THEY should go On Mondays, my sisters in law and I are getting together for a Bible Study. Recently we have been watching one of Karen Stubbs from Birds on a Wire Bible Study. One of the lessons that we went through is in regards to our children personalities and learning how to guide them individually. I want to share the fantastic things I have learned from them here with you. Train up a child in the way he should go, Moreover, when he is old, he will not depart from it. Proverbs 22:6 One of the things that Karen Stubbs points it out…

    The terrible 4 month regression

Even before Declan was born, I had decided I was going to put him on a schedule. I wanted Declan to be able to sleep through the night as soon as possible. So once Declan was born that is what I did. I had heard things about this 4-month regression, but I thought this would not happen to me. I am the kind of person that if there is 1% of chance of going the right way. I am going to be that 1%. Unfortunately, much of the time I am not that 1%. This was one of those times. At around 3 and a half months Declan started to…

    Declan’s dedication

Last Sunday may 13th 2018 we publicly dedicated Declan to the Lord. Dedication doesn’t promise me that Declan will follow Christ for the rest of his life. But it means that I will be diligent about teaching Declan about the word of God. Declan’s dedication didn’t start on Sunday but started way before he was even born in fact way before I was even pregnant with him. I say started because I believe that we have to dedicate ourselves and our children to the Lord daily. Before I got pregnant with Declan, I had a miscarriage. During that pregnancy, I prayed that God would use me and the pregnancy for…

    Happy Mother’s Day

As a mom, it is so easy to feel the mom guilt. No matter what I do I feel guilty, and I feel like I am not doing enough. Declan was only a couple of days old when the mom guilt decided to visit me, and she comes back way more often than I would like to admit. It is a feeling of inadequacy. However, as we approach mothers day, I have been reflecting on what it means to be a mom. I don’t spend my days thinking about all that my mom did wrong when raising me, so I figured my children wouldn’t do it either. Therefore, I have…

How to Sleep Train Your Baby

This may be a controversial post for some, but for me is just how I decide to raise Declan. And let me tell you that as a mom I believe this was the best decision I have made. Before I share how I did it, I am going to share why I did it. The two main reasons I chose to sleep train my baby is my marriage and sleep. The reason why I decided to do this for my marriage is; I wanted to make the most time for my husband. He has always been my number one, and I wanted to keep that way. Yes, for a little…

    A love story to remember

I want to share with you about one of my favorite topics, my husband. I can talk about this amazing man for hours. So I wanted to share with you how I met him. In 2011 I went to a Bible institute called Word of Life in Pottersville, New York. The year before I went there my sister attended that school, and when it was my turn, my sister warned me: If I did not find the one (my prince charm) before Christmas, I would not find him there. Word of Life is known for their matching skills. Some people call it the bridal institute. No joke if you want…

    My weight loss journey

Today I am going to be writing about a forbidden topic. Weight loss. I haven’t lost the weight yet. In fact, you are going to walk with me as I am losing weight. But before that happens, I am going to tell you how I got here. Before I got married, I weighed anywhere from 110lb to 120lb. I think that was a good weight for me, even tho at that moment I thought I was huge. I know, now I look back, and I think how stupid I was for thinking that. But anyways… When I first got married, I thought I wasn’t going to gain any weight. I…

    10 Baby Must Haves

The moment you announce your pregnancy you get tons of people coming to you to let you know what you should be buying for your baby. Some are great ideas, and some are plain waste of money. Some you have to buy the best and some you can get away with buying the cheapest one. But what do we really need when having a baby? I would say that if you have a car seat, diaper/ wipes and some clothes you can succeed in parenting. However, parenting can be extremely hard and tiring, so I decided to make a list of the ten baby must-haves. Do not feel like you…

Ways Dad Can Help When Newborn Arrives

Most likely the person reading this blog post is a mom, so I do want to talk to you first. However, if you are a dad I want to congratulate you for looking for ways to help your beloved wife during this exhausting time. If you are a dad, you can go ahead and skip down to the bullet points. If you are the mom, let me talk to you for a bit. When Declan arrived for some reason, I wanted to do EVERYTHING. I don’t even know why. Maybe it was my pride?? My hormones (let’s blame the hormones somehow, they are always involved)?? I don’t know. What I…

For Such A Mom As This

Let me tell you a little about why I chose to name my blog For Such A Mom As This…  I don’t know about you, but many times I have thought to myself that I was born during the wrong period. I have an old soul, and sometimes I wish I had been born a long time ago. I love when I watch those older movies and see those beautiful dresses. I always imagine how it would’ve been if I had been born back then.  Now that I became a mom I still feel that way sometimes, but for different reasons. When I look at Declan, I see a pure…
