WHY YOU SHOULD AVOID SUGAR DURING YOUR BABY’S FIRST YEAR

I think one of my biggest struggles with eating is eating sugary food. I love sweets and honestly, sometimes it is hard to say no to. That is why I have decided that I want to have my babies first year without any sugar.  As I think about parenthood I feel like we do have to pick our battles and this is a battle I have decided to pick. And trust me it will be a battle. One of the hardest parts of this is not battling your child since one of my points is they don’t even know any different. It will be battling other adults that don’t take…

    Dating for marriage

I feel like this subject might cause some controversy, but remember this is my view and I am not trying to force it on anyone.  When I first moved to the USA, I could not help but notice that most families give an age limit for when kids are allowed to date. Allow me to explain what I am talking about and what I am not talking about. When I refer to dating, I am referring to being in a relationship dating and merely going out as a friend.  I don’t know if this is correct or not, however, I would like to share with you guys a different perspective. …

First Long Car Ride With A Baby

This past week Hunter, Declan and I went to Pennsylvania it was an eight hours car ride (which we ended up making in nine and a half), and I have to say it was not bad at all.  Declan was very content for the most of the car ride, besides once we were getting close to our destination he started to cry a little which I can’t blame the little guy for it. It was pretty tiring, and I can only imagine how he was feeling.  However, as I said for the most of the trip, he was very happy and didn’t even cry. He did not sleep the whole…

    YOUR HUSBAND’S CROWN

When I was younger, I knew a couple that whenever the wife got the chance, she would speak bad things about her husband. If the opportunity didn’t arise on its own, it was like she created an opportunity to do so. I remember thinking to myself that I would never do that. I didn’t want to be like that; however, when I started to date my husband, I began to realize how easy it was to do the same thing. It is very easy to speak bad things about someone else so that you can make yourself look “better.” However, when you speak bad things especially about your spouse, you…

How to lose weight while breastfeeding

If you haven’t read my weight loss journey click here, I go in full detail how I gained weight after moving to the US and when I got pregnant. So I finally got down to my pre-baby weight. However, honestly, I am very proud of myself. It took me five long months to get to this point. However, I have been able to breastfeed my baby through this whole process and for me that is the most important.  I heard so many people tell me that when you breastfeed, you can lose weight faster. I don’t know who came up with this, but I am pretty sure it was not a…

4 Moms Pack and Play (Review)

Let’s talk Pack and Play. (click here) If you read my post on the ten babies must-haves (click here if you want to read), you probably noticed something. There was no pack and play on that list. If you are a mom, you probably thought I was crazy for not putting a Pack and Play in there. The reason why I didn’t have the pack and play in my list of ten babies must-haves is that I didn’t have one when I wrote it. As I am writing these blogs posts, I really want to keep to things I have and not things I wish I had or heard other…

    Personality Types

Train them in the way that THEY should go On Mondays, my sisters in law and I are getting together for a Bible Study. Recently we have been watching one of Karen Stubbs from Birds on a Wire Bible Study. One of the lessons that we went through is in regards to our children personalities and learning how to guide them individually. I want to share the fantastic things I have learned from them here with you. Train up a child in the way he should go, Moreover, when he is old, he will not depart from it. Proverbs 22:6 One of the things that Karen Stubbs points it out…

    The terrible 4 month regression

Even before Declan was born, I had decided I was going to put him on a schedule. I wanted Declan to be able to sleep through the night as soon as possible. So once Declan was born that is what I did. I had heard things about this 4-month regression, but I thought this would not happen to me. I am the kind of person that if there is 1% of chance of going the right way. I am going to be that 1%. Unfortunately, much of the time I am not that 1%. This was one of those times. At around 3 and a half months Declan started to…
